2025 Toyota Camry MPG: How Much Can You Save at the Pump?

Everyone wants to save money on fuel for your vehicle. As people search for a vehicle that is fuel efficient, they often turn to a smaller model, but you can’t always have the power you want with smaller vehicles until now. Toyota, a global name known for reliability, also has a number of vehicles that are fuel efficient. One of the best-selling fuel-efficient vehicles made by Toyota is the Camry, and the 2025 Toyota Camry offers fuel efficiency with a healthy dose of power to boot. If you live in Athens, Hartselle, or Huntsville, you can find the 2025 Toyota Camry at Serra Toyota of Decatur. Explore our inventory of new 2025 Toyota Camry models and find one that works for you.
New to 2025
One of the best ways to save on fuel costs is with a hybrid vehicle, and brand new to 2025 is the Toyota Camry Hybrid. The debut of the 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid shows remarkable fuel-efficiency. Toyota has dropped the Camry’s gas four-and six-cylinder engine options for 2025, leaving the Camry powered by an updated version of the hybrid engine set up from 2024. This change means that front-wheel drive Camrys get an upgrade to 225 horsepower from their 2.5L gas-electric combination while the first-ever all-wheel drive Camry Hybrid version delivers 232 horsepower using the same hybrid powertrain but with an extra electric motor added to the rear axle. With these new Camry upgrades, both of the horsepower numbers blot out those from the last-generation Camry Hybrid and the previous four-cylinder purely gas-fueled Camry.
Power Boost
The added power of the new Camry line of 2025 provides nearly the same fuel efficiency as before. At the base level, the front wheel drive Camry LE provides an incredible 51 mpg in the city and an astounding 50 mpg highway, and 51 mpg combined. That’s only 1 to 2 mpg down across the board as relative to the less-powerful previous generation Camry LE. The fifth generation Toyota hybrid system (THS 5) credits its mpg to the 2.5L gas engine with two electric motors and a planetary type of continuously variable transmission (CVT). With the front-wheel drive Camry LE, SE, XLE, and XSE trim levels, the sedan conversely sees the figures drop to 48 mpg city and 47 mpg highway, with a combined mpg of 47.
Camry AWD
Camry’s AWD edition is new to 2025 and is available across all Camry trim levels. Prior to this model year, the AWD version was only available on the gas-fueled four-cylinder Camry, and the new hybrid version beats its predecessor on power with its 232 horsepower. There is a significant 30 horsepower increase over the gas-only AWD Camry. Not surprisingly, the new hybrid also beats the AWD in fuel-efficiency.
