The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) is engineered to identify vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, or motorcyclists in specific scenarios and issue audio and visual warnings for potential forward collisions. If there is no driver response, the system is programmed to engage automatic emergency braking.
Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is engineered to detect white/yellow lane markings and specific road-edge boundary lines when traveling above 30 mph. If the system detects an unintentional lane departure, it will alert the driver through both audio and visual warnings. In cases where the driver doesn’t take corrective action, the system is designed to offer subtle steering adjustments to assist in maintaining the lane.
When you activate Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) or opt for the available Full-Speed Range DRCC *, and the system detects lane markers, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) * utilizes the road’s markings and/or preceding vehicles to actively assist your driving, ensuring the vehicle remains centered within its lane. While LTA is in operation, the Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS) is also available, monitoring the driver’s actions, including steering input.
