2025 Toyota Camry vs. 2025 Honda Accord

Both Toyota and Honda have four-cylinder engines in their mid-size sedans. Honda offers two options with a gas only and a hybrid powertrain while the Camry is hybrid all the way. However, Camry’s hybrid powertrain offers more power, ranging between 225 and 232 horses while the Accord offers up to 204 horsepower with the hybrid engine. Both models feature an automatic transmission and have front-wheel drive as standard. Toyota adds an option for all-wheel drive with the Camry, which appeals to anyone who worries about driving on slick surfaces. When comparing the hybrid models, the Camry comes out the winner in efficiency. With the LE model, you can get up to an EPA-estimated 51 mpg combined. Even when you add AWD to the LE trim, you only drop to 50 mpg combined. Keep traveling further in the Camry, which also includes a slightly larger gas tank.

Comfort and Convenience

Both Honda and Toyota follow the traditional expectations for sedans by offering the basics in the lower trims and adding more luxury on higher trims. You can expect automatic climate control, remote start, smartphone connectivity, and driver assistance on the lower trims, which is pretty impressive. The higher trims come with leather seats, a nicer audio system, and other amenities. The Camry does provide packages for the lower trims to gain some of those premium features, but Honda doesn’t include that for the Accord.

Practical Protection

Many of the safety features are similar for the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, such as adaptive cruise control. This feature is standard across the trims and keeps you traveling with the flow of traffic even if you have a preset speed. Both models come with a type of lane departure warning and lane keep assist or steering assist. They also include automatic emergency braking as standard. Camry makes blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert standard for all trims while Honda only includes it on the top trims. Pedestrian detection and road sign assist are also standard for the Camry, enabling you to avoid many of the most common accident situations more easily.
