View Our Toyota RAV4 Inventory
As you may already know, the Toyota RAV4 is all-new for the 2019 model year. While it’s natural to question just how ‘all-new’ a car can be, a quick look at our 2019 vs 2018 Toyota RAV4 comparison chart above will reveal that this claim is no exaggeration; rather, it’s fully supported by concrete evidence. As a result, countless consumers are calling the 2019 model the best Toyota RAV4 yet; and, frankly, it’s hard to disagree. First and foremost, when you rev the engine of the 2019 RAV4, you’ll notice a much more powerful response than the outgoing model. In other words, the standard engine of the 2019 Toyota RAV4 generates up to 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. As you can see in our chart above, both of those power ratings are much higher than those of the 2018 model. The result, of course, is a next-level driving experience in the 2019 model.

Main Differences – 2019 vs 2018 RAV4

Not only is the engine of the 2019 RAV4 significantly stronger than that of the 2018 model, but it’s also much more fuel-efficient, too! As estimated by the EPA, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 achieves up to 26 city-mpg and 35 highway-mpg. As you can see in our chart above, that’s three more city-mpg and five more highway-mpg than the 2018 RAV4. In addition, every 2019 Toyota RAV4 comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, the next generation of the automaker’s signature suite of safety and driver-assistance features. While the 2018 RAV4 is able to match many of these features—including Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, and Automatic High Beam —it doesn’t have standard Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and Road Sign Assist like the 2019 model. Last but not least, the 2018 Toyota RAV4 wasn’t able to offer Apple CarPlay on any of its models. The 2019 model, on the other hand, didn’t just add the audio system as an available feature, it made the must-have system standard! Needless to say, consumers everywhere are very happy about this long-awaited addition. While the 2018 RAV4 is still a great vehicle in its own right, there’s no denying that the all-new 2019 model is more well-rounded and, consequentially, a better value overall. As such, our 2019 vs 2018 Toyota RAV4 comparison comes to a close with a very bright future for the RAV4 on the horizon.
