The 2021 Venza will have plenty of interior space for just about anything

How many people can fit in the 2021 Toyota Venza?

Whenever a new model gets added to the Toyota roster, Toyota of Decatur customers flood our product experts with questions about the vehicle. In the short time since the automaker’s newest crossover SUV was unveiled, our staff has been getting a lot of calls, texts and emails from folks wondering, ‘How many people can fit in the 2021 Toyota Venza?’ The 2021 Venza is built around the familiar TNGA-K chassis architecture, which is employed by several familiar Toyota vehicles. Like its closely related RAV4 sibling, the 2021 Toyota Venza will be able to hold five passengers in its two rows of seats. Exact passenger space dimensions haven’t been released yet, but we can make some broad estimates. Let’s take a look at what the new crossover SUV has to offer.

2021 Venza interior features

If you’ve read any of our previous posts about the 2021 Toyota Venza, you already know that it is powered by a hybrid powertrain. Many of the competition’s hybrid crossover SUVs have had to compromise on rear passenger and cargo space to accommodate the necessary equipment.

Toyota has refined its hybrid system’s batteries so people will continue to have plenty of space and the available cargo space remains in the top of its class. In fact, when passengers are sitting in the back of the 2021 Venza, there will still be more than 36 cubic-feet of cargo volume. This will put the 2021 Venza in the same league as the already popular Toyota RAV4. The automaker hasn’t released the all of the dimensions for the 2021 Venza but it’s a safe bet that the new hybrid crossover SUV will be able to match the maximum cargo capacity of the RAV4 as well.

We do know that the 2021 Venza will feature large cupholders that can accommodate large drink containers, and that the drink holders in the door will be able to hold 24-ounce bottles. If an owner also uses one of the many large smartphones on the market, the tray in under the center stack will easily be able to hold it.
