2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Electric Range

Owners of the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime still have a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gasoline-powered engine under the hood. What sets the Prime apart from the regular version is a set of electric motors powered by a powerful battery pack. When the battery system is fully charged, it will be able to travel nearly 40 miles without using a single drop of gasoline. We’re still waiting for the Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy scores to be published, but Toyota estimates that the 2021 RAV4 Prime will be able to achieve the electric equivalent of 90 miles per gallon.

Performance Specs

Previous models of the 2021 Toyota RAV4 used a similar 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine – just without the electric motors. The 2021 RAV4 Prime will be able to make a maximum of 302 horsepower, which is more than the power the vehicle made it employed a V-6 engine. Additionally, our manufacturing partner is projecting that the RAV4 Prime will be able to accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in 5.8 seconds.

Finally, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime comes with the automaker’s Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel-Drive system as standard equipment.
