This year, we can stay out as late as we want as the July 4 falls on a Saturday. There’s sure to good company, great food, and friends at all of the local celebrations around the Decatur AL area. If you see any of the folks from Toyota of Decatur out and about, don’t be afraid to say, “Hello!” We live and work in the community and look forward to all of the same events that you do!
Spirit of America Festival in Decatur AL
Where: Point Mallard Park – Decatur
When: July 4, 2015
Named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by Southeast Tourism Society, the Spirit of America Festival is packed with activities for everyone under the sun. The most popular part of the ceremony is undoubtedly the Spirit of America Awards Ceremony which recognizes honorees with awards that recognize them for their service and sacrifice for our country.
Children’s events kick off the festival early in the day on July 4. A Battle of the Bands cranks up the volume from 3-7 p.m.. Conclude the night with special entertainment at 7 p.m., veterans walk and awards ceremony. Be sure to find a seat for the fireworks that are set to blow at 9:30 p.m.
