2019 Toyota RAV4 Passive and Active Safety Systems
The RAV4 model has always been at the forefront of safety technologies. For 2019, the Toyota RAV4 comes equipped with a variety of passive safety systems that help to protect drivers and passengers in the event of a collision. You’ll find eight airbags, Toyota’s Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Smart Stop Technology (SST).
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0
The new 2019 Toyota RAV4 will come equipped with the second-generation of Toyota’s wildly popular Toyota Safety Sense. This system will include the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD), Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), Automatic High Beam (AHB), the new Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), and the new Road Sign Assist (RSA).
As well as the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 package, drivers will also enjoy a standard Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) and a standard backup camera.
Optional Safety Systems
If you would like to upgrade your safety equipment even further, you can elect to add the optional Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Bird’s Eye View Camera, Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS), or Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) system.
