Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P)

For its new model year, the 2018 Toyota Tundra sees an expansion of its safety technology, Toyota Safety Sense™. This active safety platform combines key technologies to help you stay alert and safe while driving. The Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P) system includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Auto High Beams (AHB), and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). Drivers will also enjoy a standard backup camera and Display Audio.

Also upgraded for this model year is the Multi-Information Display through which drivers can view the status of the TSS-P. This customizable 4.2-inch display provides information such as odometer, tripmeter, instant/average fuel economy, distance to empty, and more. The new Tundra will also be the first full-size pickup to offer Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA). These two additional safety features help you to remain alert to potential hazards while driving and provide visual indicators of approaching vehicles.

This model will be available in 4×4 and 4×2 CrewMax and Double Cab configurations and powered by the proven 381-horsepower 5.7-liter i-Force V8 engine. Driving performance will be enhanced with the addition of TRD Sport Tuned Bilstein Shocks and TRD front and rear anti-sway bars.

The new trim level features a honeycomb-style grille and color keyed grille surrounds and hood scoop to give it an aggressive and striking appearance. On the exterior you’ll find LED headlights that give the Tundra a distinctive attitude while functioning to give you a better view of the road ahead. In the interior of the TRD Sport, you’ll find trim-specific touches and sleek styling throughout the cabin.
