Electrified and Zero-Emission Vehicles
As of this month, Toyota has announced new goals for their electric and zero-emission vehicle sales. Toyota Motor Corporation announced plans toward the popularization of electrified vehicles, aiming for the sale of more than 5.5 million electrified vehicles by the year 2030. This goal comes in conjunction with the promise that electrified vehicles are to be available across the entire Toyota lineup by around 2025. This will be achieved by a significant acceleration in the production and development of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). With these initiatives in place, Toyota aims to sell more than 1 million zero-emission vehicles by the year 2030.
