When to see the Alabama Hot Air Balloon Festival
When’s the best time to get to the park to enjoy the view? Since the most calm times of the day are in the early morning and evening hours, the majority of balloons will take their voyage during these time periods. The best time to arrive is either just before 6:00 a.m. for the early morning launch or just before 6:00 p.m. for the early evening launch.
One of the unique characteristics of the Alabama Jubille Hot Air Balloon Classic is the interaction visitors are able to have with the balloons. Patrons are actually able to walk on the field right next to the balloons! The event organizers encourage folks to interact with the pilots and ask questions.
*It is important to note that the hot air balloon events will only be held weather permitting. Any rain or winds over 15 mph may cancel the event.
