Toyota Tacoma Trim Comparison

When you’re in the market for a new pickup truck, you’ve got some decisions to make. If you’re looking to keep some cash in your pocket when it comes to fueling costs, you may want to opt for a midsize truck rather than fullsize. One of our favorite midsize pickups in the market right now is the 2017 Toyota Tacoma. The 2017 Tacoma comes available in six trim levels: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited and TRD Pro. Four of the trim levels, SR, SR5, TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road come available in both Access Cab and Double Cab trims, while the Limited and TRD Pro are only available as a Double Cab. The SR trim kicks off the 2017 Tacoma lineup with a 2.7-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine that produces 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. Other standard features include Entune Audio, Bluetooth capability, a 2.2-inch LCD odometer, a backup camera, an integrated GoPro mount located on the windshield and the Tire Pressure Monitor System. From here, you’ll notice a trend. Each trim adds on features to the one before it, making each Tacoma trim more impressive than the last. If you’re looking for a more powerful engine than the SR’s standard 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, the SR comes available with a 3.5-liter DOHC V6 that comes standard on the rest of the trim levels down the line. This engine produces an impressive 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. Other standard features not found on the base trim include Entune Audio Plus with connected Navigation App, a 4.2-inch color Multi-Information Display, remote keyless entry and a leather-trimmed tilt-telescopic steering wheel.   UPDATED: 2018 Toyota Tacoma Trim Level Comparison
