Toyota Highlander Trim Comparison

2017 Toyota Highlander passenger capacity
If you’re looking for a new crossover SUV, you’ve got a lot of great options to choose from, but perhaps none better than the 2017 Toyota Highlander. The 2017 Highlander is coming fresh off of a major redesign, with a new front end design, three new exterior color options and newly-available LED lighting. The 2017 Highlander comes available in six trim levels: LE, LE Plus, XLE, SE, Limited and Limited Platinum. The LE kicks off the Highlander lineup with a 2.7-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine that produces 185 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The base trim level offers an impressive number of standard features, including the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Auto High Beams, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, a backup camera with projected path, a 4.2-inch LCD Multi-Information Display and Entune Audio. The next trim level is the Highlander LE Plus. You’ll notice that each trim piggybacks off of the standard features of all trims before it, making each trim even more impressive than the last. The LE Plus comes with a 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine that makes 295 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. The remaining Highlander trims also come standard with this engine. Other standard features for the LE Plus include Entune Audio Plus with Connected Navigation, three-zone automatic climate control with air filter, and Fabric & SofTex-trimmed front and second-row seats.

The Highlander SE trim is very similar to the XLE trim, with additional features including black leather trimmed seats with ribbon inserts and silver stitching, blue LED ambient lighting on interior of doors, and Entune Premium Audio with Integrated Navigation and App Suite. The Limited trim level adds on standard features like an integrated backup camera with dynamic gridlines, perforated leather-trimmed front and second row seats, heated and ventilated front seats, power windows with auto up/down jam protection, the Rear Parking Assist Sonar and a rear cargo Tonneau Cover.
